Snigdha Rao, PhD student
Snigdha completed her Bachelor’s in Engineering (Biotechnology) from M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru in 2016. Subsequently she obtained her Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from Umeå University, Sweden. She then worked at Jubilant Biosys Limited, Bengaluru in the Oncology team, after which she worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, Bengaluru, where her work focused on the generation of engineered cells for therapy. In December 2020, she joined the RF Lab as a PhD student in the CARe PhD program to study immunosenescence targeting to prevent kidney disease in the elderly.

Snigdha a obtenu sa licence en biotechnologie à l'Institut de technologie M S Ramaiah, à Bengaluru, en 2016. Par la suite, elle a obtenu son master en biologie moléculaire à l'Université d'Umeå, Suède. Elle a ensuite travaillé chez Jubilant Biosys Limited, à Bengaluru, dans l'équipe d'oncologie, après quoi elle a travaillé comme Junior Research Fellow à l'Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, à Bengaluru, où son travail portait sur la génération de cellules modifiées pour la thérapie. En décembre 2020, elle a rejoint le RF Lab en tant que doctorante dans le cadre du programme CARe PhD pour étudier le ciblage de l'immunosénescence pour prévenir les maladies rénales chez les personnes âgées.
